My legs are kiLLing me this morning and my feet too --dancing in those platform type shoes from the 70's definitely gives someone a workout, we danced from 9pm thru 1:00a.m. until we finally tired out and came home. What some great pictures.

Enjoy.......

Summer Like Weather

Wow! what a wierd 2 days we are experiencing, its like summer. Humid and hot. Although its only 84 degrees today, its hot! Guess we're getting a taste of summer-like weather. Which is nice but tomorrow 86 and humid. And it figures a day we are having a few friends over for some drinks and entertainment. Never fails, its always hot when we plan something outside.

By Sunday its suppose to be in the low 80's and more like fall weather. I'm anxious to get the decor out for fall, pumpkins/scarecrows and more. Before we know it, Halloween will be here.

In Memory of 9-11

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows I didn't forget 9-11..........I can remember 6 years ago sitting in my living room while Taylor was outside waiting for the bus to arrive, Steve was standing on the front porch (thinking he was laid off work, which is not surprising) anyways, and the TODAY SHOW was interrupted with this horrifying incident. The Twin Towers were hit by a plane, Steve and I were in shock for the next many many hours just watching the TODAY SHOW and broadcast news as everyone in this nation was all day and the rest of the week.............

In Memory of all 9-11 victims.........you are not forgotten!

the View

Every morning I normally watch the view, although lately I haven't been too tuned in due to Rosie leaving, I just love her, I think she is very well spoken and just tells you how it is, and that's me too.

Yesterday they announced that Sherri Shepherd is going to be the new co-host and I'm so happy. I just like her. She's very spirited and very funny! Plus, being a Plus size gal myself I can relate to her in a lot of ways. I look forward to watching more of the VIEW this fall/winter or at least hearing it, as I normally have the TV on while I'm doing computer/work in the next room........I usually take a break here and there and sit for a little bit to catch up on the faces on TV instead of just listening.........

Rachael Ray is another show I'm so excited for new episodes now. She has moved in our area from 10:00a.m. to 2pm now and I'm not used to that, kind of threw me off yesterday when I was wanting to sit for breakfast and watch her at 10:00 and she wasn't there, now I watch her at snack time at 2pm (laugh)

Sherri Shepherd has her own website, you can see her here www.sherrishepherd.com and see who she is! Love her!!!!

I'm trying to stay inside as much as possible until 4:00 --hoping by then the shade takes over our yard and it starts to decline in temp's......right now its about 82 or more degrees but humid. Its suppose to reach the high 80's today about 86 they say...........please don't hit 90! fingers cross XXXX. We'll take many photos to share.

a Busy Weekend

I'm just blogging real quick today cause we have a busy 2 days ahead of us, we are having our 3rd annual horseshoe tournament and BBQ this weekend. What a way to end the summer. But did I mention its to be 90 degrees today and tomorrow and that dreaded word I hate HUMID!!!! YIKES!!!

I don't look forward to the heat but today I have some cookin' to do and last minute errands, picking up tables, getting last minute items and a few things here and there.

We plan to have a pretty good crowd this year and hope the heat doesn't keep everyone away! Have a great weekend!

Labor Day Weekend

well, its Labor Day Weekend, nothing special going on. Its been a long week, Steve didn't work at all this week, but plans to have a full week coming up ---- things are tough right now. I was job searching but nothing is appeaLing to me. Even if its part-time.

Taylor is back to school, and so far so good. (I think) She loves her Spanish class. I forsee her starting to talk Spanish and wanting help with that. I took 3 yrs in high school but could not and probably would not talk Spanish to this day. The basics is all I remember.

Labor Day is tomorrow, no special plans. I can remember having a picnic every Labor day when we were younger but seems like we don't do that anymore. Every one is just so busy I guess. We'll probably just make something on the grill tomorrow and call that our Labor day celebration.
We have alot to plan and get ready this week for our Picnic/Horseshoe Tournament on Saturday the 8th.....we have probably 50+ people coming. We have food to make, drinks to buy and preparation in the backyard as far as lawn mowing, weeding and cleanup --- geez! this week will go so fast.

Have a great LABOR DAY EVERYONE!!!

LebFest

Here are some photos from a friends party (read below):

Lots and lots of drinks, what a great time!

Steve and Blake (above) are having a toast to good friends........as the night starts to end.

I don't think I ever shared some photos from our friends Brad & Jess's summer party. They call it LEBFEST always held the 3rd Saturday of July each year....with a band(s), tons of food, drinks and people. Gosh, there is almost 150-200 people throughout the day.

Here are some funs photos to view, this year it was on Sat. July 21st. We had a good time and the weather (for once) was nice, usually its so stinkin' hot, but this year I even wore jeans to the party. What a great time!

What a great time above by the pool, the kids early in the day loved to swim!
Brad, above, is having a good time drinking that bottle............oops! sorry Brad had to show what a good time you had!

Its ~HOT!~ again

Boy, we had such great cooL weather all week long & now the AC's are back on and its piping hot......humid too which makes it worse.

We are having our annual REDSKINS picnic tomorrow, outside of course and it couldn't be like 70-80 degrees tomorrow, nope! they are calling for 90's and a heat index of 100 degrees....and humid! the word Humid I dread. That just hurts me bad. I can stand the 90 degrees with no humidity but when they say HUMID, I dread it. I really really dread going to this picnic tomorrow but I guess if it gets too bad there is always indoors with AC there too, but I hate to hang inside all day. We will see, maybe it won't be too bad. I know they have lots and lots of trees and shade at the members house who is sponsoring the picnic, & 2 large tents on the deck with overhead shade.......I bought lots and lots of drinks & water for tomorrow..........

By Sunday its suppose to be cooL again and back to the 80's w/ no humidity, of course --the picnic will be over by then. I'm not ready for cold weather just yet but this 90-100 degree crap can go! Was hoping for one last dip in the pooL but not sure if we don't get there tomorrow, it may not happen........Yikes!

What a week

What a week, its been raining all week long and nothing to do, I've been trying to keep up on orders and run some sales since the rain is keeping me inside. It started Sunday with some fairly good steady rain, and hasn't stopped...........I think today it may try to clear up.

We are able to turn the AC's off and enjoy some window opening time, and I do believe it hasn't been above 75 degrees all week, which I love. I did see some temp's for Saturday of 94........yikes! the warm weather is coming back. Swimming hasn't been in the agenda lately and the water temp's are probably cooL now. Hopefully we can get 1 last swim of the summer in this weekend or next week yet.

Its now only 66 degrees out today and very very cloudy. But at Least no rain. Although they say we are still in need of more rain, I'm tire of it. Yesterday we had some pretty heavy rains at times and into last night. Now everything is wet and needs dried out. By tomorrow we may see some sun.

I'm trying to search for a part-time job now, things are getting tough with Steve laid off (yes in middle of summer and he works lawn care/landscaping) not sure why but thank goodness for unemployment. I'd really like to get a part-time job even if its working in a retail store part-time.....I applied a few places so we shall see. I'm still running my website but no more eBay. I'm feeling so much relief not doing ebay no more, the money is nice but the fees are simply hurting my biz. So, my website for now. I'm going to try a new idea! wholesaling my title cuts.........so that's my new adventure in life. Wish me luck!

Taylors Birthday Party

Ok, here are some pics from last nights birthday event.

We went to our local city's baseball game "Revolutions" for her b-day party. we had 6 girls and 4 adults go along and had a blast. It was alot of fun, entertainment all the time, and the girLs had a great time. Here are some pics:

Above they put her name on the board as soon as you walKed in the stadium.

of course 12 year oldd must find some use for the birthday hats, since they are TOO OLD to wear them!

All the girls wore red, first of all so we could keep track of 'em in the huge crowd, but they looked great all color coordinated. And they matched the REVOLUTIONS TOO!

TAYLOR'S ready for her 1st pitch of the game, a birthday gift for being the birthday girl of the night!

And of course, she had to get a picture with the mascot, "Downtown" which was her name, isn't she cute? and colorful too!

Happy birthday Taylor Taylor!!!!

Today is Taylor's 12th Birthday on August 17th. 12 years ago she was born, very small and only weighing 4lbs 13oz. Wow! hard to believe she is now 12 and going in to the 7th grade.......how fast they grow.

New Look for the PooL

Here are some photos of the new liner put in mom & dad's pooL last week, the water temp is freezing, but hopefully by this weekend it'll be back to normal temps.....we froze on Saturday while taking a plunge. Taylor and Katie had fun but were crazy for getting in the cold water.
The Liner gave the pooL a brand new look.

Taylor looks so goofy with those goggles on but she loves 'em!

Katie was making so many waves we almost lost Taylor in the pooL.

Above is the pool with the new liner, you can't tell from the photo but it looks great! the Liner is much darker (of course) and is a navy blue type border on the edge. Looks good huh?

This hot air balloon was at Rudy Park the other week when we went to see our favorite band play, its to be the largest in the world. The Energizer Bunny --- it took 20 people to fold and pack this baby up! wow!

In Memory of.........

In Memory of BARRY OLVITT a dear friend of Steve and I, who passed away last Thursday July 5th. We are sorry to hear of his passing and wish Kat the best in the future as our prayers are with her. He was a great guy who did alot for nobody but the children of the Hershey Medical Center. He was in charge of the annual TOY RUN that Harley Owners Group did yearly by raising over 10,000.00 and more each year for these kids.

I can remember almost 4-5 years ago STeve and I went along up there to see over 100 motorcycles of all kinds take this 1/2 hour run to Hershey only to see these kids faces shine......it was a memorable day when we went along and will never forget how proud Barry was.

Barry was young and had so much going for him, we are just so sorry to see him pass. We will miss him dearly and remember those kids are thanking you everyday!

Happy July

Just blogging today to say HAPPY JULY --cannot believe its July 3rd already and the weather has been unbelievably nice out, in the low 80's and no humidity, yeehaw!

We are going camping in 2 days and its suppose to get warmer and muggier, yikes! hopefully just for 1-2 days as they say, and the weekend looks very very nice, just like the past days.

Here is Smokey, he's a little upset lately cause he can't get upstairs in our house, we shut the upstairs off to keep cooL with the AC's running, so he's limited to the stairs and downstairs right now for a few months, here he found a spot on our steps as he watches me work all day, Hi SMOKEY!

FDP at Balloonfest 2007

Ok, I finally am getting around to putting some pictures on my blog, here are some photos to share from Balloonfest with our favorite band FDP. They performed there on Friday June 15th 2007, and did a great job, gosh! we miss them boys!

Here at the end of the night, the fans were singing the last song of the night.
The balloons went up about 6:30 as you see above they are starting to inflate them.

Cannot forget a picture of the band with the balloons in the background.

The spider balloon above was one of our favorites, it was very different.

And of course the WORLD'S LARGEST HOT AIR BALLOON --- THE ENERGIZER BUNNY, boy was that a tall balloon.

a Busy Week

We have had simply just a busy week, between softball games, weekend outings and events its like craziness.

Summer is here, its been HOT HOT HOT the past 2 days and another day today. Its been in the mid-90's and humid. Just one of those days to hang by the pooL or stay inside in the AC, today? I'm staying inside in the AC, I have so much work to do.

So, to keep this short, I have so many pics to share and haven't had time to post them......so I hope to do that in the next few days.

Keep COOL!

Summer is here!

I dont' have much to blog about today, been real busy with ebay and my website, trying to catchup as my life story goes on.

But summer is here, Taylor is out of school and although I haven't heard the words "I'm bored" yet I'm sure they are soon to come. She's been able to entertain herself outside everyday with the neighbor kid Bryce who is currently at home with his mom only cause she's not working right now and job hunting. Once she's back to work, he'll be at the sitters. Yesterday they splashed around in the kiddie pool that Bryce's g'ma bought him and his cousin (who is 1 years old) , they had fun although Taylor was quite big for the pool they still got wet, cause it was so HOT yesterday! Today is cloudy and overcast.

I'm car shopping, hoping to have a car by next week. I cannot get any errands done or go anywhere during the day and I hate it, so we're trying to get a new car --- I'm waiting to hear back from my bank about a small loan. What fun!

Well, I'm going to keep it short today, will be back shortly with more updated daily blogging.

Have a great day!

Hopefully their season will go good this year, this is her last year playing 12 and under. Next year she moves up to 14 and under.........along with a few other girls too!

New Photos -Spring 2007

Gosh, its been a week since I blogged, can't you tell spring is here? I'm always outside or busy inside with work. What a busy spring. I finally got some photos downloaded to the computer and I will be sharing over the next few days.

Here are some pics of the back yard, these were taken last week, as we are putting the flowers in and getting things ready for summer. We had to buy a new gazebo tent this spring, cause our last one the Nor'easter took away.......enjoy the photos, the flowers are even more pretty now.

Above is our pic of the gazebo tent and our new pavers/patio we put in.

I love the above flower arrangement, it so beautiful and must say my favorite.

We tried to salvage some of the last gazebo frame that was destroyed so we took the one corner piece and cornered it on our brick chimney. I bought a climbing flower and its actually grown pretty high by now, I'm surprised but here is a nother section of our backyard.

I decided to get creative this spring and do my own flower pots, this one I did completely myself and topped off with the American flag, its very pretty in deed I must say!

And Last, another view of our gazebo tent, we put lights underneath it for a great night light affect when we're outside past dark.........I just love to sit outside now.

Rosie’s ‘View’ won’t be the same without her

I hate to say it but GOODBYE TO ROSIE on the View. I never really watched this show until i found out she was on it........I also watched another show at 11:00 in the mornings, after Meredith V. took Katie's place on the TODAY SHOW I was curious who took hers and I found out it was Rosie I started to watch her daily.

Opinionated or not, I think she was a COOL person and I loved her so much! Bye Rosie, I know I wiLL miss you and I'll be waiting for your new show when you decide to come back.

Now who will take Rosie's place ? Hmmmmmmmmmm? We must wait and see.

Bridging Up Ceremony

Ok, here is the photos from Taylors Bridging Ceremony on Monday night. I'm a little behind on blogging (again) but its been busy here, I'm so busy trying to keep my ebay store running and website stuff plus running Taylor every night to something happening every night of the week.

I actually do believe tonight we have nothing to do.......yippee!

The girls were accepting their badges from their troop in the above photo. They all earned lots of badges and awards.

Oh no, the above photo is sideways and I don't feel like changing it, laugh. But the girls formed an archway of hands for those bridging from one level to another, here comes Taylor through this one.

Taylor just bridged from Juniors to Cadettes and her new leader is giving her a congrats' gift. Good Job Taylor, this is an accomplishment to be in scouts now for 6 years, next year will be her 7th year, I'm very proud she is sticking it out.

Taylor and Victoria (above) are reading what they enjoyed about Junior Scouts this year, but I cannot remember what Taylor said, oops! too much excitement I guess.

SPCA Visit

We visited the SPCA yesterday in regards to Taylor's Girl Scout Junior Bronze Award. She made dog/cat biscuit treats as a donation and we delivered them and they gave her a tour of the new facility recently built, its brand new. She has to complete 15 hrs of service to earn this award and earn a few patches along with it, its the highest award you can earn as a Junior GS. Since this is her 3rd year and she'll be bridging to Cadettes (in fact her ceremony for that is tomorrow) she has til end of May to complete this award project. She really had fun, and here are some photos to share of our visit:

Back to Normal Life

Hopefully today everything is back to normal life. Being sick the past few days really put me behind on everything. I was sick --really really sick --- on Friday and then Saturday came along where it was the day after nasty feeling of just laying around trying to catch up on eating and wanting to feel better.......and Sunday came along and I thought I was fine. We went flower shopping, planted a few flowers in the flower beds, trimmed the bushes out front and then went for dinner to Hoss's just the 3 of us..........

I woke up Monday morning feeling the same thing all over again and I'm still hurting a little bit and just can't beat this virus.............. Yesterday I was feeling a little better but still having symptoms and afraid to eat anything.

Today I'm up early, its 7:30 and I'm already up and about, that's early for me.......I'm trying to catch up on lost time from being sick although I'm still not 100% feeling better.

I'm hoping for a better more productive day today and although we're expecting a rainy afternoon, I need a day inside to catchup.

TotaLLY Sick

I've been totaLLy sick the past day and today still. I guess I caught the stomach bug/virus somehow. Was fine yesterday until I laid down for about 45 min. nap and woke up with things happening to me that I didn't expect......how gross huh? I had things coming out all ends.....laugh. Sorry to be so graphic. But true.

I'm feeling a little better today but still not good enough to get out. I had so much planned for today but I think I'm going to stay in, rest some more so on Mother's Day tomorrow we can get out and at least do something, its suppose to be a gorgeous day.

Tonight I'll be just laying around watching some TV.

7 Wierd Things about Me

I was tagged to list "7 Weird Things About Me".
Each player starts with 7 random weird facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged write their 7 things on their blog and post these rules. It also requests that I tag an additional 7 people ... but I think most folks that visit my blog have already been tagged ... so, if you would like to play, please do!

Here goes ...

1. I Love to put ketchup on most anything (some people think its totally gross but it must be PA thing) eggs, mac n' cheese, chicken pot pie, sausage

2. I own about 40 pair of underwear, a personal thing but true........I just cannot stand to run out of clean underwear I guess.

3. I don't own 1 white bra, another personal thing --- all my bra's are colored and guess I just love to match my colors with my shirts.

4. I get along so well with my daughter's father, although we are no longer together --- he is truly a good person. Most people who split up totally argue and hate one another, but Rob is a great dad to Taylor, wish he would come see her more or call more often but I must say I do not hate him like most divorcee's or couples split up.

5. I truly must admit I have a sandal fetish.........I own about 20+ pair of sandals and just love them, I could go sandal shopping every weekend and buy a new pair. They are just so stylish now adays and I must have a color for everything.

6. I Love the TV show Roseanne, I could sit down (which I do) everyday and watch her re-run shows from the 80's. Not sure whether its because her show is about normal everyday life, like mine - or because she just tells you how it is - that I love her so much! She is funny and up front. Just like me, I can tell you how it is and I don't mind......

7. And last, are you ready for this one? I love to eat chocolate and cheese together. (and a nice cold beer along with that would go down so smooth) yes! how gross huh? but that is something wierd about me, I just love those 2-3 things together as most would totally barf on that one.

So, there you have it, 7 things about myself that are wierd or unknown.........how fun and share your 7 wierd things with someone by blogging or emailing.
