a Long Week ahead

We are expecting a long week ahead of us preparing for subbing a paper route for a friend. I have to get up each morning by 3:30 and deliver his papers and than turn around and deliver my own route in the afternoon. That consists of 7 days straight. I am going along this morning to learn the route. What joy! We don't officially start til this Sunday -- or next Sunday the 29th. But I am just preparing myself for the long week ahead......the money will be nice.

This Week

Well, I didn't get to blog this week -- things were busy but not much to blog about. The weather has really COOLED off here in PA making the evenings in the 50's and no AC's on, which I love. Springlike temp's, I won't complain.....today although I hear the humidity is coming back but the temp's are still only in the 80's for the entire 5 day forecast.

We were to have 3 ballgames this week, now down to 2. Thunderstorms ruined one game earlier this week, and we finally won our 1st game!!!!! yeah! I think that gave the girls a boost of encouragement and hopefully we will play well today.

I have some photos to show of some events the past weeks but haven't uploaded them to computer yet, hopefully this weekend I can.
We plan to chill this weekend and just hang out -no big plans.

Father's Day

I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday -was a busy day and decided to head to bed early. But I just wanted to shout out a big HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to everyone and specially my own dad. I included a photo below which I know my mom will just dearly love seeing her photo on here. But its the only photo I have of them on my computer --- HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD! Hope it was a good one!

Softball games

Well, softball games are starting, we already played about 4 games, not much luck winning. I need to get some new photos taken but have been slacking. They are called the PINK PANTHERS.

day at the PooL

I haven't been to the pooL all week so today I decided to try it out and do my work route later than usual. It worked out fine -as long as I got to the pooL early and spent about 3 hrs there.
Tried to get some photos today but Taylor was too fast and the one I did get I promised her I wouldn't post on my blog.

The pooL was just so nice today -lounging on the rafts and taking in some sun. My tan is rocking! so far. Just wait til end of summer!!!!

a Better Day

Yes, a much better day today --- humidity has dropped here in PA.

Tonight Taylor had her last meeting/ceremony for GIRL SCOUTS. This is her completion of her 7th year in scouts, wow! Not sure if she'll continue next year or not. She's at the age where they lose interest. 8th grade. We will see. They have a camping trip in July to go to finish the year.
She plans to attend.

Its late, time for bed here 10:30 p.m. --- and I'm tired. I'm ready to do a swimming trip to the pool, all week I pass a large community pool and see everyone in there swimming while I'm working on my paper delivery route. Because I deliver from 1pm -3pm during the peak hours of the afternoon, I hate that. So, I'm hoping to get to the pool in the next 2 days.

so HOT

Its been so HOT here the past 3 -4 days its miserable. With temp's in the high 90's and humidity so unreal, the pooL feels great. Even yesterday the water temp's are in the high 80's in the pools that it feels like bath water.

We are expecting a storm to go through anytime now and cooL us down. I cannot wait cause tomorrow they are calling for 80's and even overnight tonight in the 60's,.........should be good sleeping weather, cause even with the AC's running, upstairs is so muggy - its just uncomfortable.

We are having a heat wave here in the northeast, and boy! is it HOT!

Yard Sale

We are having our annual Yard Sale this Saturday -although we start tomorrow. I'm trying to make a little extra money by putting my inventory leftover (scrapbooking) out for sale. Plus, cut a few title words and sell those --- I'm cutting them right now. So, I figured I had some time to blog.

I haven't blogged much this week. Just no time......

Well, the cutter had stopped so I better get back to pricing items.

Patriotic Flower

This flower arrangement below I created and put together this past weekend, and added a small flag to it to look patriotic, I cannot wait til it starts to grow and fills in.......I was quite impressed. This was my favorite from all my planters i created.

Last Saturday over the weekend we got a few flowers for outside, our flower beds are dull and no color -so we visited a local farm to buy some -in fact they are called SMALL FAMILY FARM, that's their business name.

Below is a pink flower on the right that Taylor just had to buy --so I thought I'd share this pretty pink flower with everyone! It just looked like spring!

Memorial Day

This weekend our small town called Hallam had a parade and a rededication ceremony in honor of veterans of war. ON this plaque you see below names were added for all to view. They started with a small parade through town, and ended with this ceremony below of dedication and honor. My dad's name was added to this monument plaque and i hope to get pictures of it closer up -it was very busy and crowded after the ceremony so I decided to wait. It was a fun afternoon, the weather was simply beautiful.

I can't tell in the above photo but it appears the mayor of Hellam is speaking.

Taylor above is relaxing and being patriotic during the ceremony. What a nice sunny hot day!

A Photo taken before the unveiling of the memorial .......the cover was on this memorial for days -it was actually very pretty -I thought.

This man was part of the parade and celebration -which stopped in front of us to chat and show us his unicycle. He rode this in the parade and showed his talent and patriotism to all.

Memorial Day Weekend

I must admit I am slacking on my blogging lately. I just want to blog everyday but haven't had the time and effort.

With the Memorial Day Weekend approaching and now here, we have so much to do. We just found out we have to deliver our paper route on the A.M. Run for 3 days straight. Which is not my thought of excitement. Holidays do that for us.
And then we have promotional week all next week, each day Tues thru Friday we will have 120 extra papers to toss/throw and deliver to non-customers, oh joy! What a way to end May.

I haven't blogged for 1 week, well guess we've been busy --- I will be blogging later tonight and/or tomorrow for sure. We've been busy -softball game, softball practice, bowling, working, and a wedding yesterday with some fun photos. Will be back soon for more blogging.

My new Curtains

Here is my latest purchase, my kitchen curtains, I only have this valance up right now but have 2 more to add to my window and above my kitchen sink, it also has a tailored curtain for my regular window but it isn't lowered enough to take a photo yet, I think they are cute!

Just another photo that made me feel like spring today --its to be so nice out today - in the mid 70's and sunny --cannot wait to get outside and enjoy it.

This photo above was taken on May 3rd at Botanical Gardens in Va. It was such a great day to see all these beautiful flowers/settings. It definitely was a spring day!

Botanical Gardens, VA

This weekend we did get a road trip to Virginia........during our stay we tried to do at least 1 thing to entertain ourself as we visited the BOTANICAL GARDENS in Virginia. it was a hot day but it was sure beautiful there, and I took alot of pictures. They had about 4 weddings throughout the gardens that day and again it was such a bright sunny day (enough to get sunburnt) and still enjoy the visit. Here are some of the photos I took, I will share more later.

Yes, this is me (above) and I actually allowed photos of me this day -standing by the fountain.

This photo was taken in front of the kids water works area, called WOW ---- it was even hot enough this day for the kids to participate and splash around and get wet. We were on the tram ride when I took the above photo so I couldn't get a whole lot of the water area park for kids.

And this picture was just so unique of the grass growing on top of this building. It has purple flowers on it too, it was quite pretty.

Road Trip

Its been a crazy week and busy -no time to blog anymore, we're thinking of heading out of town this weekend To Virginia but the cost of gas is killing us, as its hurting everyone. Money is tight until next week and we're just not sure if we'll get there.

We will find out later today if we can swing it...........it would be nice to take a road trip --- but there is so much to do and little time to do it before we take off. Guess I'm heading to work and to see if we can get away for 2 days.........have a great weekend.

The weather here is beautiful today, high 72 and sunny! It'll be a nice afternoon.

New Title Words

Gosh, my ebay store is taking off like hot cakes.......I cannot keep up -keeping running out of cardstock, as I just did and must go to the craft store somehow on Sunday to restock.

I have now over 300+ title words on ebay and averaging about 3-4 orders per day, and these aren't just small orders -they average at least 10-15 words per order. Some are just 1 title per order but still........I'm very happy with my results.
